THE FRIENDS OF ENCHANTED ROCK (FOER) is a volunteer, non-profit organization founded in 1999. Our mission is to work in partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife to promote conservation of Enchanted Rock State Natural Area’s natural and cultural resources through preservation, education and improvement efforts. Open year-round from sunrise to sunset for general use.
Bat viewing nightly May-October. The trail to the lower viewing area is closed each evening. Monday through Wednesday evenings the trail and lower viewing area are not open to the public. On Thursday through Sunday evenings, the trail will only be open to those visitors who pay admission to view the bats at the lower viewing area.

Things to do and Attractions 18 Holes Championship Golf. The Buckhorn is located on the outskirts of historic Comfort, Texas, at the foothills of The Texas Hill Country. The National Museum of the Pacific War is dedicated to perpetuating the memory of the Pacific Theater of WWII in order that the sacrifices of those who contributed to our victory may never be forgotten.
